This ZIP folder will contain the data and code necessary
to replicate the analysis conducted in:
"Making Causal Inferences in Small Samples Using Synthetic Control Methodology:
Did Chrysler Benefit from Government Assistance?"

The paper itself is available for download in working paper form at:

There will be two files in this folder:
1) a STATA .dta file with the data used in our analysis
2) a STATA .DO file with code to run

These files are currently being updated/cleaned for easy consumption.

Feel free to contact with questions the authors at brian.richter@mccombs.utexas.edu;
also feel free to request that we send you the data/code directly at this early stage.

The program will generate the data contained in Tables 1 and 2
and will also generate Figures 2-7 in the paper. (Unfortunately
we cannot freely provide the data for Figure 1 as it is from a
proprietary source and not the result of our calculations.)

The program will also generate a number of output DTA files
for each of the synthetics it generates as part of the analysis.

It will further contain the results of robustness checks we
mention in the paper, but ommit given space constraints.
